With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leonard Bernard Horton Sr. of Mobile, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Kelly Horton; his son Leonard B. Horton, Jr. (Pete); his parents, Ernest Horton and Catherine Horton (Myers); and his siblings, Ernest Horton, Herman Horton, Herbert Horton, Norman Horton, Julius C. Horton and Dorothy H. Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Doll Lance (Arthur); his grandchildren, Dr. Leonard B. Horton, III (Monica), Quentin Lance and Kenya K. Horton; his great grandchild Ari'el Nadine Horton; his daughter-in-law Paulette Davis Horton; his siblings, Catherine H. Brown and Curtis Horton (Jackie); and his sister-in-law Katie K. Peters. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pine Crest Funeral Home (1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Pine Crest Cemetery (1599 Snow Rd, Mobile, AL 36695).
