Lisa Carol Frayer Obituary
Lisa Carol Frayer, aged 68, passed away unexpectedly in George County, Mississippi on the afternoon of Wednesday July 10th, 2024, leaving a void that words cannot fill. Lisa was a source of love, warmth, and kindness to her family and friends. Her loving spirit touched the lives of many, and her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lisa was an accomplished athlete in the sport of track and field at the high school and collegiate level, at both Syracuse University and the University of Chicago. At that time, she was one of the fastest female runners in the country in both the 800- and 1600-meter distance, she also received an invitation to the 1980 Olympic Trials. For several years Lisa was both an educator and coach at Bayside Academy College Preparatory School in Daphne, AL. During her tenure as a coach at Bayside Academy Coach Frayer won 2 State Championships including State Runner-Up from 1993, 1994, and 1995 in track and field. In addition, she was an accomplished small business owner, pastry chef, and artist.
Lisa was a child of God through belief and faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible declares our lives but a vapor, and Lisa used much of her time and resources in helping and encouraging those who needed it. She now is absent from the body, and present with the Lord, which is a great comfort to all who love and care for her.

Lisa is survived by her three Sons Nicholas James Frayer, Patrick Joseph Frayer, James Christian Terry, and one Daughter Lauren Avery Frayer, and Father of her three children Patrick Michael Frayer whom she loved dearly and unconditionally. Daughter in law Mary Buschmann Frayer and Brother Michael Della Contrada.
Lisa Frayer was preceded in death by her beloved Father Dominick Joseph Della Contrada, Mother JoAnn C. Anderson Della Contrada, Brother James Della Contrada, and Sister Kimberly McCutcheon.
A visitation for those who knew and loved Lisa Carol Frayer will be held at Ascension Funeral Home; Address: 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, 36695 on July 19th from 1:00PM – 4:00PM.
