With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lou Gwendoline Butler (Mobile, Alabama), who passed away on October 2, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Lee Butler. She is survived by: her mother Ann Van Blake Portz; her significant other William "Billy" Gradeless Jr.; her children, Jennifer Lynn Berry (Bobby) and Michael "Todd" Butler (Brittany); her grandchildren, Raigan Funderburke (Cuen), Allyssa Butler, Hailey Butler and Brileigh Butler; her great grandchildren, Varian Funderburke, Astrid Funderburke, Anduin Funderburke, Albion and Adhemar; and her siblings, June V. Chappell (Scottie), James "Jimbo" Van Blake (Lorena) and Jerie "Deedo" Van Blake Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shands Hospital, which was near and dear to Gwynn as her son was a heart recipient there.
