She was predeceased by: her parents, Garvis Estes and Daisy Estes (Riley); her sister Willie Mae; and her son Dr. Steven Smith. She is survived by: her husband Kevin Assmann; her daughter Roxanne McCrory (Mark); her brothers, Larry Estes (Paulette) and Stanley Estes (Ginger); and her grandchildren, Michelle Canterbury (Randall), Melissa McCrory and Jason McCrory. She is also survived by Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ United Church (6101 Grelot Rd, Mobile, AL 36609). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.
