We announce the death of Opal Yvonne Caine of Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 88. Opal will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Henley and Voncile Henley; and her siblings, Warren Earl Henley, Shirley Skipper and Sandra Coker.

She is survived by: her significant other Walter Drury "Buddy" Caine Jr. of Mobile, Alabama; her children, John Overstreet (Anita) of Mobile, Melanie Baird (Jerry) of Birmingham, Rachel Nilsen (Rhett) of Mobile and Jared Caine (Elayne) of Daphne, Alabama; her grandchildren, Jeff Overstreet (Jessica), Justin Overstreet (Emily), Laurie Beth Kesterson (Andrew), Dr. Mary Martin McGill (Max), Sharon Nilsen, Seth Nilsen, Ben Nilsen, Courtney Davis (Matthew), Amanda Caine, Emily Caine and Christian Caine; Brenda Bird (Jim) of Milton, Florida. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; eight loving nieces and nephews; and many other devoted relatives and friends.
