She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Payne and Ada Payne (Pullen); her siblings, Willodean Elliott, Mildred Mathews, Bonnie Pouncy, Julius, Russell, Harold, Bobby and Donald Payne; her son-in-law Larry Bledsoe; and her sister Janice Wash.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Nixon; her children, Norma Bledsoe, David Nixon (Pamela), Diana Howard (Allan) and Michael Nixon (Sally); her grandchildren, Cindy Austin (Hunter), Aaron Bledsoe, Brian Howard (Christine), Lisa Parrish (Jeremy), Amy Fosnot (Stephen), Jessica Tracy (Oliver), Dana Riley (James) and Sydney Zent (Blake); her great grandchildren, Molly, Collin Austin, Everett Howard, Alice, Rosie Parrish, Erin, Elizabeth Fosnot, Kathryn, James, Daniel Riley, Trace Andrews and Dewey Zent; her stepgreat-grandsons, Victor, Kevin, DJ Miller and Malachi Randen; her great great grandchildren, Alexa, Patty, Naomi Miller, Ronan, Emmet and Declan Miller; Amie Michelle Randen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
