Penny Holt Hadden Obituary
Penny Holt Hadden - Age 58; a native of Lucedale, Mississippi and a resident of Mobile, Alabama died Friday, April 2, 2021 in a local hospital. Penny was a U.S. Navy veteran where she served as an Air Traffic Controller. She was one of the first "women" air traffic controllers and had the honor of landing President Bush's Presidential Plane (Air Force One). She was a graduate of the University of South Alabama and was employed as a Special Education Teacher in the George County and Mobile County School Systems. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Holt; mother, Mary E. "Libby" Holifield; and her father, Robert P. Holt. Penny is survived by her husband of 35 years, Anthony "Tony" Hadden; one son, Jason Hadden; two sisters, Sherie Craig and Paula Harmon; and other extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Magnolia Cemetery in Lucedale, Mississippi followed by Full Military Honors.
