With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Phillips of Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on April 2, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ray is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ray's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezollie Phillips and Earline R. L. Mosley; his grandson Devyn Kortrell Lacy; his brothers, Joseph Landrum and Benjamin Jones; and his nephew Larry C. Landrum.
He is survived by: his children, Lynette Lacy (Thai) of McDonough, Georgia and Rayshawn Depp, Sr. of Mobile, Alabama.; his siblings, Maxine Phillips Johnson, Sheliah Landrum, John Landrum, Will Lilly, Jr. (Janice) and Andre Landrum (Thomasina); and his sister-in-law Sandra N. Landrum. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
