As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Murray Jr. and Grace Dunlap Murray of Mobile; and his child Vaughan Murray Williams. He is survived by: his wife Mary Wallace Harton Murray; his children, Laura Murray Hannon (William "Dubby") of Mobile, Richard Murray IV (Norita) of Birmingham, Jay Harton Murray (Lisa) of Mobile and Grace Murray Wann (William "Chip") of Birmingham; and his pet Maisie Murray Hannon. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
