We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2025, at the age of 88, Royce Allen Ray Jr. of Mobile, Alabama, born in Houston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann Thomas Ray; his parents, Thelma Ray Willis and Royce A. Ray; his aunt Mary; and his uncle Marion Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Tamara Ray Clancy, MD (Michael) and Royce Allen Ray, III (Michelle); his grandchildren, Patrick R. Clancy, Karissa P. Ray and Karalee M. Ray; his cousins, Jeff Gray (Kathy) and Marion Gray (Esther); his sister Sandra; his brother-in-law Bobby Smallwood; his sibling's children, Stacey Bray (Alan), Susan Walker (Scott) and Scott Smallwood (Dana); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor Johnston (Kevin), Chandler Bray, Morgan Walker, Luke Walker, Hunter Smallwood and Libby Smallwood; Mary Claire Wright, Ben Gray and Antje Mikesell (Jeremy).
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Spring Hill Presbyterian Church (10 Westminster Way, Mobile, AL 36608).
