It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruthie Mae Thomas (Mobile, Alabama), who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Thomas and Cora Snell Thomas Singleton; her nephew Anthony Carl Thomas; her aunts, Mary Laffite and Mary Snell; her uncle Sam Washington; her nephews, David D. Allen and Roland Angelo Floyd; her grandson Willie E. Stanton, Jr.; her cousin Charley Bell Streeter; and her brother Willie James Thomas.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mamie Floyd (Samuel), Mary Singleton of San Diego, CA, Frances Smith, Patricia L. Allen, McArthur Thomas and Johnnie R. Singleton; her daughters, Judy Thomas Jones (Larry) and Janice Thomas Kennedy (Michael); her children-in-law, Ramona Evans (Lorenzo), Melody Bracy (Napoleon) and Napoleon Bracy; her grandchildren, Willanda Townser (Ronnie), Dakota Scott, Sr. (Timothy), Ian M. Kennedy and Nicholas D. Kennedy; her great grandchildren, Taliyah L. Scott, Megan A. Townser, Noah Alan Kennedy, Timothy Scott, Jr., Lennox Angel-Reid Kennedy and Xzavier Grant Townser; her cousins, Charlymae Eaton, Betty Todd, Bernice Allen, George Washington, Sr., Sam "Lee" Washington and Ricky Davis; and her close friends, Sharon Eaton, Phyllis Law and Vanessa McMillian. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
