He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Juanita Manning; his parents, James Manning Sr. and Frances Sharpe; his stepfather Ellis Sharpe; and his siblings, James, Albert, Barry, Roger, Bobbie and Judy.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Beasley (John Sr.) and Sam Manning Jr.; his siblings, Marcus Manning (Alison) and Beverly Brownlee (Chuck); and his grandchildren, John Beasley Jr. (Amanda), Kristen Petersen (Walter), Amber Day (Johnathan), Sam Manning III, Shane Herring (Aneisa) and Scott Manning. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
