He is survived by: his wife Barbara Byrd; his children, Spencer Byrd, Jr. (Tina), Tex Byrd, Jr., Travis Byrd, Deborah "DeeDee" Byrd, Jonathan "Boo" Rivers and Angie "Coot" Byrd; his grandchildren, Spencer Byrd, III (Brittany), Brandon Gage Byrd (Lari), Zachary Byrd (Delaine), Yery Mejia, Kennedy Byrd, Jayden Stagner and Kowin Reed; his aunt Mary "Dot" Byrd; his siblings, Leamon Byrd, Jr. (Bonnie), Rita Byrd, Melton Byrd, Audrey Byrd, Sebron Byrd and Robin Byrd Weaver (Hal); and his friend Clyde Weaver (Carolyn). He is also survived by extended family, including many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins.
A wake was held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 5:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (19180 Centre St, Citronelle, AL 36522). Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Theresa Catholic Church (1875 Coy Smith Hwy, Mt Vernon, AL 36560). A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
