He is survived by: his wife Monica Carstarphen; his sons, Antonio Sampson (Lisa) and Sylvester Carstarphen, Jr. (Kimberly); his niece Kendrell Sampson; his father Robert Earl Carstarphen Sr.; his sisters, Azeline McDaniel, Mary Ann, Eva, April, Cathy Carstarphen, Brenda Saxton and Felecia Napper; his mother-in-law Deloris Sampson-Jackson; and his grandchildren, Antonio, Evan Sampson, Sylvester Carstarphen III and Kelsey Carstarphen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, family, and friends.
