He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie "Jay" Mae Dickinson; his parents, Edna Dickinson and Earl Dickinson; his siblings, Randall Dickinson (Diane), Caroline Kittles and Sharon Auld; and his son Vernon Dickinson, Jr..
He is survived by: his sister Eileen Riva (Roger); his children, Denise LaForce (Cecil), William Dickinson (Joanie) and Natalie Dickinson; his grandchildren, Granada LaForce, Alicia LaForce, Cody Dickinson, Cory Dickinson (Julieanne) and Chloe Dickinson; and his great grandchildren, Madisyn Vallely, Tucker Vallely, Olivia LaForce, Raney Shields and Ava LaForce. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
