We announce the death of Ward Hopkins Oliver (Mobile, Alabama), who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 96. Ward’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Walker Oliver and Mary Sarah Ward Oliver; and his wife Edna Bates Oliver. He is survived by: his children, Linda Konstanzer of Joplin, Missouri, Michael A. Oliver (Melinda) of Gainesville, Georgia and Edward H. Oliver (Kris) of Mobile, Alabama; and his stepchildren, Robert E. Southerland (Patsy) of Birmingham, Alabama and Gayle Fridell of Goliad, Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens (6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619).
