He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Brainerd and Stella Martian Brainerd; and his wife Deborah Brainerd. He is survived by: his children, Billy (Cindy) and Lisa (Greg); his siblings, Jim (Sue), Tom and Lynn (Robert); his close friends, Jacque Karr and Wanda Funderburk Delhomme; and his caregiver Tracy Brooks. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
