He is survived by: his wife Ruth Haarala Gunter; his children, William Todd Gunter (Kim) and Rhonda Gunter Scelsi (Charles); his grandsons, Andrew Tyler Scelsi (Sarah) and Matthew William Scelsi (Camille); his siblings, Byrum Gunter and Shirley Gunter Patrick; his siblings-in-law, Hilda Switzer Gunter, Faith Estes, Linda Harper, Beth Clayton and Larry Wells; and his close friends, DeWitt and Dolly McCrary. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Park Church of God (3321 Sollie Rd, Mobile, AL 36695). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
