William Stanley Tant Obituary

Mr. William Stanley Tant, age 81, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Coleman and Martha Adele Martin Tant and brother, Martin Coleman Tant.

Mr. Tant was employed for over 34 years with the Mobile County Health Department serving as Director of Administrative Services. He was a proud Eagle Scout, enjoyed fishing and was a past president of a Mobile mystic society. Stan was an avid Mississippi State University fan. He will be missed by his many neighbors on S. Monterey Street. He was loved by his many friends and family.

Mr. Tant is survived by his wife, Joan and children; Michael Gregory Tant (Heather), Jeffrey Stanley Tant, Michael Chad Allsup (Lisa), Brian Dayton Tant (Karol) and Bradley Martin Tant (Jennifer). He is also survived by his siblings; Lucy Adele Tant, John Joseph Tant (Maxine), James Nelson Tant (Ann) and grandchildren; Mackenzie, Nicholas, Talulah, Isabella, Katelyn and Dayton Tant, Joshua and Matthew Allsup, Keaton Jenkins, Garrett and Gunner Shelton.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
