With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frankie Yelverton of Monroeville, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on February 4, 2026 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Laymon Myers Yelverton and Margaret Yelverton Johnson; and his stepfather Curtis Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Yelverton of Monroeville; his children, Matthew "Matt" Lance Yelverton (Jherri) of Spanish Fort, Mandy Yelverton Gilbert (Chase) of Beatrice and Amy Yelverton Switzer (Joey) of Grand Bay; his siblings, Skeeter Yelverton (Ann) of Linden, Harold Yelverton and Patsy Maner (Brian) of Alabaster; his stepsiblings, Kent Johnson (Janet), Brad Johnson (Julie) and Leigh Bevard (Alan); his grandchildren, Jackson Perry, Alex Perry, Seth Switzer, Zack Switzer (Olivia), Cameron Gilbert, Chasen Blake Gilbert, Mila Yelverton and Nora Yelverton; and his great grandchildren, Oakleigh Powell and Baker Switzer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Leukemia Research or Pilots for Christ, P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL 36461.
