Nelson (Kierra) and Aisha Tene Holmes Thorn (James); his siblings, Anne Cutts and Ira Joe Nelson (Audrey); his grandchildren, Patrick Nelson, Adam Nelson, Jeremiah Nelson (Daryl), Raegan Nelson (Alvin, Jr.) and King Nelson (Derek); his siblings-in-law, Annette Nelson of Phoenix, AR, Kathyrn King Smith of Bessemer, AL, David King (Arnell) of Omaha, NB, Philip King (Rubie) and Roosevelt King McCalla (Catherine); and his close friend David Summerlin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
