It is with sadness that the passing of Cheryl E. Walker (Montevallo, Alabama) is shared. Cheryl, born on May 22, 1944, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Elton and Beulah Rae Elton; her brother Ricky Elton; and her husband Raymond. She is survived by: her sister Winifred Thigpen; and her children, Richard (Sonya Walker), Ray (Wendy Walker), Kim (Eric Hays), Shannon (Renee Walker) and Brent (Laura Walker).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rideout's Trussville Chapel (1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
