He is survived by: his wife Judy Ferrell Dempsey; his children, Cheryl Dempsey Snyder (Todd) of Montevallo, AL and Curtis "Jay" Lee Dempsey Jr. of Montevallo, AL; his grandchildren, Christopher Barker (Jen) of Alabaster, AL, Summer Dempsey Ward (Shaun) of Winfield, WV, Jacob Lee Dempsey of Scott Depot, WV and William Snyder of Montevallo, AL.; his great grandchildren, Silas White, Lucas Lee Barker and Nellea Dempsey; and his siblings, Maragaret Gore of Quinland, WV, Lu Hall (Don) of Troy, MO, Jennie Dempsey of McCalla, AL. and Roger Dempsey of West Salem, OH.. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
