We are sad to announce that, on March 2, 2026, at the age of 92, Ethel Joyce Oates Culp (Montevallo, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Roscoe and Pheba Hall Oates; and her sisters, Clara Oates Veazey and Lorrine Oates Williams. She is survived by: her husband John Culp; her sister Mary Oates Phillips; her daughters, Karen (Kay) and Johndra Culp (Jill); her grandsons, John David Jacobson (Nicole) and Benjamin Jacobson (Catherine); and her great grandchildren, Rawson, Elora, Cora and Hugo Jacobson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The American Cancer Society, or Vitas Healthcare Hospice of Panama City, FL.
