She was predeceased by: her husband Ray Wallace Gaines, Sr.; her parents, Bennie Whatley and Mary Whatley; her siblings, Shirley Castalow and William Whatley; and her grandson Darrell Morris, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Ray Gaines, Jr., Clay Gaines (Carlene), Donna Morris (Darrell) and Angela Cleckler (Larry); her grandchildren, Tyler Doriety, Gray Gaines (Casey), Lewis Gaines, Josh Acton, Rene Lucas (Jerrod) and Kayla Thomas (Jordan); and her great grandchildren, Hartley Lucas, Hampton Lucas and Declan Thomas.
