He was predeceased by: his parents, Ghuido Melsoni and Dorothy Grill Melsoni of Eddingstown, Alabama.; and his siblings, Earl Sims, Jr., Charles Melsoni and Mildred Sims Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Phillips; his sons, Steve Melsoni and David Melsoni (Leslie); his sisters, Barbara Cook and Dean Calfee; and also Sue Phillips. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
