It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Julius Ulmer of Montevallo, Alabama, born in Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Austina Brownlee and Julius Haskell Ulmer; his parents-in-law, Stuart and Irene Baker; his sister Janice Cade; his siblings-in-law, Katheryn Snyder (Rusty), Mary Wilson (Bob) and Stuart Baker, Jr.; and his nephews, Robert "Bobby" E. Wilson, Jr. and Maxwell Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his grandchildren, Jackson Stuart Ulmer, Grace Ann Biel, Luke Biel and Erin Sloan (Tyler); his brother Wendell Ulmer (Laverne); and his siblings-in-law, John Cade and Mary Ellen Baker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rockco Funeral Home (3715 AL-25, Montevallo, AL 35115). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (Jefferson Memorial Gardens Dam, Birmingham, AL 35235).
