He was predeceased by : his parents, Erma Jo and Roy Shackelford; his stepfather Fred; his siblings, Troy Shackelford, Phylis and JoAnn; and his cousin Wanda Catyln.

He is survived by : his wife Libby Shackelford; his children, Roy Shackelford, Charlie Goff (Heidi), Fidencio Olivares, Juan Carlos Conde, Melissa Howton (Rick), Jessica Harvey (Jeffery) and Stephanie Carter (CJ); his cousins, Shorty Catyln, Becky Shires and Joey Vaughter; and his brothers-in-law, Chuck Phillips (Lisa) and Murray Phillips. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
