He was predeceased by: his parents, Jurail Cash and Ruby Mae Whitted Cash. He is survived by: his wife Lois Hodges Cash; and his children, Nigel Hodges of Birmingham, Anquenetta Cash Smith of Huntsville, Michael Jurail Cash, Jr. (JoHannah) of Athens, Shuquan Cash of Harvest and Lelititia Cash Herston (Christopher) of Madison. He is also survived by grandchildren, seven cherished great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home (2501 Carmichael Ave NW, Huntsville, AL 35816). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (759 Pine Grove Rd, Harvest, AL 35749). A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:15 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
