We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2025, Peggy H. Whitworth of Montevallo, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Peggy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Peggy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband William A. Whitworth, Jr.. She is survived by: her son William A. Whitworth, III (Tena); and her siblings, Edwin Harrell (Marion), Joseph Harrell (Betty) and Jane Alexander (Lawrence).
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Chapel of Charter Funeral Home (2521 US-31, Calera, AL 35040). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
