She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Edgar and Thelma Edgar; her son Barton McCorvey; and her granddaughter Ryan Kirkland. She is survived by: her husband Robert M. Duke; her sons, William McCorvey, Jr. and Bradley McCorvey; her stepson Malcolm Duke; and the father of her children William McCorvey, Sr.. She is also survived by cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In honor of Barbara's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Area Council on Aging (MACOA).
