She was predeceased by: her husband Ransom Avery Yates, Jr.; and her daughters, Katie Stroud and Judy Malousek. She is survived by: her son Ransom Avery Yates, III; her brothers, Landrum Brown and McKenzie Brown; and her grandchildren, Tina Vert, Shawna Burke, Wayne Sanders, Dubert "Woody" Stroud and Jennifer Malone-Duffy. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Gassett Funeral Home (204 E Charles Ave, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A graveside service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pine View Memorial Gardens (2325 Holtville Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36092).
