He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Glen and Rosa Nell Harris Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Martha Neal Jackson Sanders of Montgomery, AL; his sons, Benjamin Harris Sanders of Birmingham, AL and John Jackson Sanders (Ashley) of Montgomery, AL; and his grandchildren, Brookley Ann Sanders, John Jackson Sanders II and Laney Elizabeth Sanders of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by several cousins and other family members.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Henderson Untied Methodist Church.
