He is survived by: his children, Mary Payne (Phillip) and John David Mitchell, Sr. (Jill); his grandsons, Michael Ritch (Ellen), John Mitchell, Jr. (Stephanie), Robert Mitchell (Natie), Mitchel Payne and Brady Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Eli Ritch, Clara Ritch, Ethan Ritch, Lillian Mitchell, Caleb Stinson and Elliot Mitchell.
