With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles J Whittington of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Joliet, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Bozarth and Robert Whittington; his brother Bob Whittington; and his grandparents, John, Mary Fowler Whittington, Thomas and Cordelia Cook Bozarth.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon E. Rogers Whittington; his brother Jim Whittington of St. Joseph, MI; his children, Lisa Merrick (Mark) of Perrysburg, OH, Scott Whittington (Saralyn) of Montgomery, AL and Don Whittington (Kristyn) of Jackson, LA; his grandchildren, Beth Fife (John) of Toledo, OH, Kim Montgomery (Tim) of London, OH, Luke Merrick of Perrysburg, OH, Peter Merrick of Oregon, OH, Faith Whittington of Birmingham, AL, Grace Whittington of Montgomery, AL, Tim Montgomery and John Fife; his nephews, Steve Rogers, Scott Kindlespire and Russell Rogers; and his friend Caden Lockett. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
