She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman Owens and Lee Ella Owens; and her brother Joe Frank Knight. She is survived by: her adoptive son Devonte Quincy Owens of Montgomery, AL; and her siblings, Elaine McMeans (Jessie) of Greenville, AL, Gloria Jean Powell of Akron, OH, Joyce Peterson of Greenville, AL, Mary Ann Ivory of Montgomery, AL, Lexie Owens of Hayneville, AL, Charles Wright Cook of Chicago, IL, Marvin Taylor of Montgomery, AL, Sidney Owens (Karen) of Montgomery, AL and John Powell of Akron, OH. She is also survived by extended family members including her nieces and nephews.
