She was predeceased by: her daughter Dr. Meredith Cheryl Hitch; and her siblings, John C. Wilson, Jr., Charles J. Wilson and Jeanette Dreher. She is survived by: her husband Ben "Benny" Bryan Hitch, Jr.; her son Ben Bryan Hitch, III (Jamie Ruth Hitch); her grandchildren, Ben Bryan Hitch, IV and Bowen Wilson Hitch; and her brother Joe Barefield Wilson.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (5487 Stadium Trace Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244).
