He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Seibels Lanier Branch and William Thomas Branch. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Slocumb Branch; his children, Kristen Branch Hurst (James Brian Hurst) and Clifford Lanier Branch, Jr. (Kimberly Alexander Branch); his grandchildren, McRae Alexandra Hurst and Blake Lawson Branch; and his brothers, Dr. William Thomas Branch, Jr. (Carolyn Jenkins Branch) of Atlanta and Charles Edward Branch.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society.
