He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gibbs and Leona Gibbs; and his son Mitchell Gibbs. He is survived by: his children, John Gibbs, Jeff Gibbs (Debbie) and Julie Lyons (David); his grandchildren, Lindsey Ketchum (Kent), Layken Rubin (Braden), Laura McClinton (Jacob) and Logan Gibbs (Celeste); his great grandchildren, Harper, Knox Ketchum, Harrison, Hollyn Rubin, Will McClinton and Linlee Gibbs; and his siblings, Virginia Gibbs Linam, Orvil, Basil and Donald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Dail and Mitchell Gibbs to Dakota Milestones, a private nonprofit organization supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, at Dakota Milestones, Box 248, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
