He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Edgar Wood and Myrtle Mathney Wood; and his siblings, Anne Braun, Louise Britt and Willie Earl Wood.

He is survived by: his wife Lethia Genoyce Wood; and his sisters, Suzie Kelly and Mary Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
