He was predeceased by: his siblings, William Jeffery "Jeff" Smith and Martha Ann Bradley; and his parents, Will Edwin "Buck" Smith and Ruth Howerton Smith. He is survived by: his wife Lois Elaine Smith of Montgomery, AL; his sons, Jeffery Douglas "Doug" Smith (Angela) of Auburn, AL, Christopher "Chris" Eugene Smith of Lapine, AL and Kevin Lee Smith (Wendy) of Slinger, WI; his grandchildren, Riley Curran Smith, Lauren Taylor, Melissa Shelley Smith, Jessica Barton, Carson, Colton and Kaley Wendorf; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Bailey, Eli and Rhett Barton; and his siblings-in-law, Janie Smith and Dean Bradley. He is also survived by four nephews and one niece.
