He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Taylor (Sonny) and Shirlie Ann Taylor Lobmiller (Fowler); his sister Stephanie Dawn Lobmiller Turner; his mother-in-law Jacqueline Hobbie Sheppard; his brother-in-law Brandon Hobbie; and his father-in-law Judge Walker Hobbie.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hobbie Taylor; his children, Meredith Kathryn Taylor Ficken (Joseph) and Jamison Stevens Taylor (Amber); his grandson Jameson Chandler Ficken; his siblings, James Skip Lobmiller and Shawna Leann Lobmiller; his nieces, Amber Leann Turner Wallace (Justin), Sommer Brooke Lobmiller Cardwell (Blake) and Nicci Adams (Bryan); his nephew Ronald Lee Turner; and his siblings-in-law, Wendy Hobbie and Ronald Turner (Ronnie). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, three great-nieces, and two great-nephews.
