Maureen Thompson wrote a sympathy message

“The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System sends its condolences to the Gray family. Under Deborah Gray’s leadership, the Tuskegee Human & Civil Rights Multicultural Center educated thousands of students and tourists who passed through its doors. The Center’s exhibits highlighted the historic significance of the Tuskegee VA Hospital to the region, for which we are thankful. Ms. Gray’s absence will be felt by the greater Tuskegee community, but her legacy endures as the Center’s primary director and educator.”
