He is survived by: his wife Beryl Bird; his children, Donald Bird, Debbie Edwards (Jimmy), Dana McKenzie and Daneen Sheffield (Stafford); and his grandchildren, Brandon Bird, Justin DeFee, Hunter DeFee, Austin Maggard, Amy Lowry, Ashley Smith and Syndney Verka. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
