He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dewey and Ruby Christine; and his sister Norma McDuffee Burkett (Harry). He is survived by: his wife Betty; his sons, Michael Dennis (Rhonda), Douglas Kevin (Rhonda) and Patrick Brian (Alice); his grandchildren, Megan, Hampton, Merritt, MaryCollin and Colton; and his nephew Paul Burkett (Shannon).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dalraida Baptist Church.
