Frances Whitaker-Price Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Whitaker-Price of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Luverne, Alabama, who passed away on September 11, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Talley and Lena Alice Talley; her brother Prentiss Talley; her husband John B. Whitaker; and her former husband Hollis M. Price, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Beckey Weldon, Susan Owen (Ken), Peggy Selman, Rita Jones and John B. Whitaker, Jr. (Lynn). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many loving step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church or the Montgomery Humane Shelter.
