With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Ernest Mitchell (Montgomery, Alabama), born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Mitchell and Evangeline Wonnacott Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sue Reavis Mitchell; his sons, David Mitchell (Becky) of Tullahoma, TN, Brian Mitchell (Leigh) of Montgomery, AL and Ross Mitchell (Tia) of Fort Walton Beach, FL.; his grandchildren, John Mitchell (Jessica), Paul Mitchell, Sara Ford (David), Luke Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell (Molly), Blake Mitchell, Clint Mitchell (Britney) and Maggie Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Evan John Mitchell, Lincoln Ross Mitchell, Landyn Claire Mitchell and Frances Noel Mitchell; his sister Patricia Kildaw of Winnipeg; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Reavis Griffin, Bill Reavis and David Reavis. He is also survived by 38 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Agape of Central Alabama, Mount Dora Children's Home in Mount Dora, Florida or to a ministry of your choice that serves the needs of children.
