He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Nell Williams Currey. He is survived by: his children, Angela Currey Irvin (Coy), Camille Currey Irvin (John) and George Todd Currey, Jr.; his grandchildren, Allison Irvin Godwin (Michael), Elizabeth Irvin Boyd (Blair), John Pace Irvin, George Russell Currey (Haley), Caroline Coy Irvin, Olivia Currey Stinebaugh (Zach) and Emily Lynn Currey; his sisters, Francis Currey Schaffer, Cindy Currey Laundhardt and Glenda Currey; and his grandchildren, Becky Conner Anderson (Mark), James Conner (Hae Min Lee), Cathy Conner Smith (Troy), Jennifer Conner Coursey, Nicholas Conner, Bladon Conner (Pablo Arancibia), Brooke Conner, John Nicholson, Mike Nicholson (Layla Khan) and Bonnie Nicholson Carothers (Owen).
