It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn S. Pearson in Montgomery, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Marvin Pearson; her former husband Darwin B. Watkins; and her parents, Moses Calvin Smith and Sammie Mae Hartley. She is survived by: her children, James W. Pearson (Lou), Jane P. Burris (Arnie), Joel H. Pearson (Cathy) and John C. Pearson (Andy); her grandchildren, Philip Pearson (Ashley), Price Pearson (Christina), Jessie Burris (David), William Burris (Ashley), Nan Partridge (Tommy) and Hartley Pearson (Molly); and her sister Mathalia Ann Price. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
