It is with sadness that the passing of Jackie Thackston of Montgomery, Alabama is shared. Jackie, born on January 26, 1932, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Dozier and Velma Dozier; her husband C. T. Thackston; her sister Belva Owen; and her nephew James Thackston.
She is survived by: her children, Tate Thackston (Lee) and Galen Thackston (Kelley); her brother Floyd Jr. Dozier (Sue); her nieces, Sheree, Karon Bowdre (Birch) and Teresa Thompson (Jeff); her grandchildren, Merideth Maggard (Seth), Joseph Vick, Brian Thackston, Patrick Thackston (Grace), Jack Thackston and Ben Thackston (Sarah Grace); and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Maggard, McKenzie Grace Maggard and Walter Maggard. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens (909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109).
